Are you ready to make a meaningful impact and help us create an unforgettable experience? We are looking for enthusiastic hosts to help the CHARMcommittee and Coordinators to welcome and guide students, exhibitors, and guests throughout the CHARMfair! As a host, you will either help out during the fair days or during the weeks leading up to the fair, depending on your assigned role. Your responsibilities can range from having contact with companies, assisting with logistics, setup process such as helping with carpeting, booth arrangements, and other preparations the week before the fair.
Besides helping us create this amazing career fair, you also get some extra benefits as a host! You get a host-gift from CHARM, lunch in Kårrestaurangen and access to the company lounges where there are tons of fika (during the fair days) and food whenever else you have a work shift.
We have tried to visualize on which days the different host types will have work shifts, so you can make a more informed choice. When scheduling the work shifts we will, of course, take your needs into account, so you don’t miss mandatory classes, and most importantly making sure you still have time to attend the fair. The work shifts are set to be during LP3, LV4 and LV5; from the 9th of February to the 20th of February (LP = Study Period, LV = Study Week).

As a Corporate host your responsibilities are to assist companies attending the fair in different ways. This includes helping them set up, organize and clean their booth. In addition you will assist your area coordinator with managing your designated area by making sure that everything is running smoothly. This will be a great opportunity to network with the other Corporate hosts and be part of a team with a key role for the success of the fair.
Since you will be working close to companies you will get to know them very well, and this will be a great opportunity to widen your network and develop your communication skills.

Are you a person who enjoys working in closely knitted teams and have an interest in arranging effective flow of goods? Then you sound like our next Logistics Host! You will mainly help out with carpeting and constructing the exhibition area the week before the fair, but you will also help the Logistics Group with all logistics relating to CHARM. You will manage incoming and outgoing goods, and solve problems that may occur during the fair. As compensation for your hard work you will get the chance to enjoy the banquet! A Swedish driver’s licence for forklift is an advantage but not a requirement.
You will work approximately six four-hour shifts spread out during this period, where breakfast/lunch/dinner and fika is included! You don’t have to work every day - we will create a schedule that is personalized to your availability.

Are you social and service-minded? The lounges are a calm place where company representatives can have a cup of coffee, some snacks, and take a break from the fair. Before the fair, the lounge host will help set-up and decorate the lounges, and during the fair they will keep the lounges clean, and ensure there is always fresh food and drinks available.

Do you have a sense for style? Do you like being creative? Then Decor Host is the role for you! As a Decor Host, you will be decorating the fair and make it into something special. This includes a LOT of balloons, and setting up things such as signs, banners, and the CHARMbridge. During the fair, you will also function as a problem solver and be a helping hand for the CHARMcommitte.

Do you have good knowledge of the campus and are good at taking in new information? Your main responsibilities as a reception host is to inform and answer questions from students and company representatives. The receptionists are also responsible for providing additional services to the companies, such as selling tickets and taking care of the wardrobes. To apply for this role you need to be fluent in English.

Do you like to arrange and decorate? As a banquet host you will help with preparing the CHARMbanquet - the grand dinner with company representatives and students from Chalmers. This means helping with practical manners the days before the banquet as well as preparations during the banquet day. This involves preparing the decor and the arrangement of table seating. The best part about being a banquet host is that you will get to enjoy the beautiful environment you helped create at the banquet dinner.

Do you like to interact with people and are service minded? As a let’sCHARMtalks host you have a crucial role in making let’s CHARMtalks run as smoothly as possible.
Let’sCHARMtalks is an opportunity for both students and companies to talk to each other, alone and unbothered by the fair. As a let’s CHARMtalks host you will assist the corporate representatives during the day and also assist the students to get to their meetings with the corporate representatives.

As an event host, you will work with the Fair Event Manager towards ensuring that the events run as smoothly as possible. Event hosts take on various tasks that make inspiring and educational CHARM events possible, such as decorating the event area and making sure that all necessary equipment and materials are on hand before the events, as well as managing the events during the fair days.

Are you interested in IT and have an eye for technology? Then you should apply to become a IT & Support host during the CHARMfair! As an IT & Support host you will act as a technical and general support during the fair. You will mainly work with IT related problems and help with technical details during fair construction, but during CHARM you will also help other exhibition areas with their problems.
